Konami fiscal year sales hit a record high thanks in part to a Japanese health kick and multi-million unit sales of the Winning Eleven soccer series; Metal Gear Solid 4 listed as sales driver for this fiscal year.

Konami's financial reported also noted one game in particular that would drive revenues during the fiscal year, which ends March 31, 2008: "New titles will also continue to be released for game consoles in widespread use, along with the long awaited Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots for PS3."

There is currently no official release date for MGS4 and even though it's listed as being released this fiscal year, we should note there's always the possibility that it could be pushed out. A trailer for the game had previously indicated that the game would be released this calendar year, although recent retail listings show the game as releasing in early March.
